Spathipyllum also known as Brazilian sword is an attractive rainforest plant that makes a lovely addition to the large terrarium, or as a house plant. It is unfortunate that it takes a long time to die in the aquarium, which has lead to its wide spread use as an aquarium �decoration�. If given good conditions, above the water, it will produce beautiful white �calla lily� shaped flowers. It is also a good candidate for use as a riparian plant, with just the roots in the aquarium, and the stems and leaves above.
