Echinodorus 'Rubin' is a great red leafed sword plant variety for the aquarium. Echinodorus 'Rubin' has long slender dark red leaves that makes it an excellent choice for background areas of the aquarium. According to him, the plants were selected from crosses between E. horemanii "red"(color form of E. uruguayensis) and E. barthii.
