Nymphaea sulphurea is native to south-central Africa. The waterlilies emerge as yellow and cup-like then age to a stellate shape. The flowers are perfect for use as a cut flower and hold a sweet fragrance. The plant produces flowers that are a rich sulfur-yellow and measure 2-3 inches. The nearly round leaves are reddish and measure 1.75-2.25 inches. The plant spreads 15-20 inches which makes it ideal for tub gardens or small pools. All lilies are sold bare root. These are beautiful plants with 5-8 full leaves. Many with blooms. Potting instructions included. Fertilize monthly with Pond Tabs for best results.
